Kristi Sproates has been working on her business Appy Connections for a number of years now in the Bega Valley Shire. I recently asked her to tell us what she has been up to this year. Read what she has to say below:
I’m Kristi Sproates, Developmental Educator and Founder/Manager of Appy Connections which is a registered business with the NDIS.
The tailored therapy, training and technology support I offer to NDIS participants targets increased skill development in one or more of the following areas of daily living; communication, social, recreational and employment related skills.
All programs make use of smartphones/devices to motivate and engage learners is key to what I do. I customise apps and settings to meet individual needs.
Everybody has the right to communicate successfully so they may contribute and be part of the community; this is how we connect and grow.
I believe in creating a community of diverse learners here in the Bega Valley.
I offer face to face therapy, training and technology support at the new Co-Work Merimbula offices situated at: 1/31 Merimbula Drive, Merimbula, 2548, NSW
I work collaboratively with individuals and their support networks. Learning new skills means increased independence, greater self esteem and greater choice and control in daily life.
Using everyday technologies is an inclusive and progressive method of teaching new skills for all.
