6 of us met up today and although we were actually in Eden the conversation actually revolved around Merimbula. Various concerns were voiced around how to improve the local customer service, lack of knowledge by locals as to what shops are actually in Merimbula and various ideas that other towns have used to draw in visitors in to the town during the off season.
There was also a discussion on the various co-working spaces that are popping up in Merimbula over the next year and how this can also be a draw card for visitors that may decide to stay and extra day or two if they know that they can drop into a co-working space.
As well as some positive talk around the new activity with the Our Merimbula Chamber and how the recent fund raising has worked out. Thinking of how we can actually run a fund-raiser where all the money stays in the town and doesn’t end up back with the Charity?
All in all a great sunny lunch venue with enthusiastic company. Thank you to those that joined us today.
Remember that these catch-up are also a great way for you to CONNECT & PROMOTE any upcoming events or offers that you may like to share with other LOCAL BUSINESSES in the Bega Valley Shire.
It could also be a wonderful opportunity to source new clients or find out how they may be able to assist you in your business challenges.
Don’t forget your business cards!
Our next and final event for 2019 is the BBQ at Fairway Motor Inn
