High Tea fundraiser for Pink Up Merimbula McGrath Foundation held on Sunday October 13th was yet another example of a great COLLABORATION success, with around 75 attendees.

A true COLLABORATION effort from the Our Merimbula Chamber of Commerce and a number of Local Businesses in Merimbula. These businesses supplied gifts & vouchers that were used to create the ‘lucky dip’ bags, silent auction prizes plus a wonderful raffle.

A big thank you for the Gifts/vouchers that were supplied by:

This event was all bought together with an awesome High Tea provided by Merimbula Wharf. There was also a wonderful painting by Sue Ellen Yates and everyone was given the opportunity to name her and she was appropriately named ‘Storm in a D Cup’.

It was also very inspiring to hear the stories from two wonderful local breast cancer survivors – Jenni Smith and Helen Britten.

This event has raised around $3,500 and together with approx. $6000 from previous events, Pink Up Merimbula is well on the way to achieving their goal of $10,000. All the funds from the Pink Up Merimbula fundraising which will go to the McGrath Foundation to help fund the Bega Valley Breast Nurse.

The next major event to happen will be the Spring Family Funday on the 27th Oct.
