During my recent update of the Business Directory, I came across Daisy Hill Photography and added them onto our FREE Local Business Directory then advised them of the listing. Tara immediately got back to me and upgraded her listing.
So as a result, here is a bit of information that Tara has sent me about her recent journey in photography.
I have recently moved with my family to the beautiful Bega Valley from the Central Coast of NSW where I successfully ran Seasons In Art Photography for 10 years.
I am a Brides Choice Award winning photographer, and I love everything about my job. I love creating images for weddings, events, nature, products and food, pregnancy and newborns, and families, but one of my true loves is working with children.
I have photographed over 2000 children per year for over 8 years, doing their preschool and school photos, and I find true joy in spending time with little ones and capturing their true selves.
At the other end of the scale, shooting a good rock concert is right up my alley! I believe my love of nature is evident in my Artworks, as i seek to show you the true beauty in our world.
After moving into the Bega Valley in January in the midst of such a traumatic time for everyone, I found connections with neighbours and strangers (who are now friends) that I found inspiring. Even amongst the turmoil, people were so welcoming to us.
Restarting a business is never an easy thing to do, and choosing to leave my old business and community behind was very difficult, but I knew that a better life existed here in this beautiful place for me and my family.
I was so very pleasantly surprised by the welcome we received when we arrived.
I managed to secure some preschool photography bookings pretty quickly, and looked to booking some weddings and family shoots.
Then Covid struck, and all work prospects ceased for a few months. My jobs were postponed, and although it seemed a bit daunting, thanks to the JobKeeper program, I have been able to get along just fine.
I have been taking lots of nature photography, and capturing all of the wonderful things that have been happening at my home, like raindrops after the fire and drought, flowers blooming, and new baby lambs.
I have photographed Bermagui Preschool, and have Bega Preschool booked in for a little later in the year, and I will be travelling back up the coast for a few weddings that so far, are still going ahead.
For the future I am hoping to secure more preschool and school bookings, and weddings and events.
I am also looking to sell my Art Photography online soon.
So watch this space!
